Empire of the Sun’s album Walking on a Dream has debuted in the ARIA album charts at number 8. This is the best first week result that Luke has ever had for any record, and the highest he has ever had. The album had some stiff competition this week with three other new records (Josh Pyke, Rise Against and Oasis) all polling higher and some big names still in the top ten (Kings of Leon and Metallica) but they did knock MGMT down a notch but I don’t think they’ll mind, after 23 weeks in the chart and still being in the top ten?! Let’s hope that Luke and Nick can pull that one off!
In other chart news, the Walking on a Dream single has risen again after six weeks in the chart, now up to 28! The only way is up!

Just a little note to those of you who are living under a big, big rock, Empire of the Sun’s debut album Walking on a Dream was released on Saturday. So if you haven’t yet, go buy it. Or download it. WHATEVER YOU LIKE.
I’ve made a couple of changes to the site, just to get ready for the release of Walking on a Dream tomorrow. As you may have noticed it now looks much spiffier, but still keeping the same overall design. Just adding a bit more colour and excitement. I’ve also decided to scrap the wiki after it didn’t really take off and got overrun with spam. I have started filling the site back up with content but it will take a few more days for it all to get finished. As you can see the site now has taken some focus off The Sleepy Jackson and putting a lot more onto Luke’s other projects. The forum has had a minor overhaul as well but it’s not too drastic and everything is still there! Hopefully you’ll find it all a bit nicer on the eyes and easier to use.
Any comments or suggestions, stick them in the forum. I promise the site will have all its content back in the next few days. Oh, and don’t forget, Walking on a Dream out tomorrow! TOMORROW!

And if that doesn’t get you excited enough, we will be bringing you a few things over the next few days.
